AUBURN — Agnes F. “Aggie” Silberg, 76, of Auburn passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at DeKalb Health in Auburn.

She was born Jan. 1, 1941, in Devereaux, Michigan, to the late Earl H. and Eva M. (Earl) Eagen.

Aggie was a 1958 graduate of Washington Gardner High School in Albion, Michigan.

She married Steven G. Silberg on Aug. 14, 1970, at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Auburn, and he survives in Auburn.

Aggie worked for State Farm Insurance Company in Marshall, Michigan, for nine years and then worked for Wells Fargo Bank in Auburn, retiring as Vice President in 2006, after 36 years of service.

Aggie was a member of the Bunko Club, enjoyed mahjongg and loved garage saling with her lady friends.

Surviving are a daughter, Shelly (Richard) Pickren of River Forest, Illinois; a son, Christopher (Robyn Mace) Packer of Nashville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Zachary (Asia) Pickren, Schuyler Pickren, Richard (Christina) Pickren, Olivia Mae Pickren and Stephen G. David; a brother, Ronald (Innis) Eagen of Albion, Michigan; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Eagen of Albion, Michigan, Kay Eagen of Albion, Michigan, and Martha Bennett of Marshal, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews including a nephew, Steven G. David.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Eugene Eagen, James Eagen, Patrick Eagen, Dennis Eagen and George Eagen; three sisters, Donna Woodhurst, Evelyn Albin and Christina Eagen; and her special pet, Spanky.

A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.

The family will receive friends four hours prior to the service from noon to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the DeKalb County Humane Shelter or charity of your choice.
