Barbara Ann Kueber, age 86, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Chagrin Falls, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Towne House Retirement Community in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Kueber was born on November 1, 1931 in East Cleveland, Ohio to Harold and Clio (Borset) Smith. 

She married Richard Kueber on August 8, 1963 in Cleveland.  Richard resides in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Kueber worked as an elementary school teacher for 39 years in the Cleveland area.  She taught in both the East Cleveland School District and at the Newbury Elementary School.  She retired from teaching in 1987.

She was a former member of the First Federated Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.  She enjoyed gardening and she loved her dog Poppy.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  

Survivors include: 

Her husband of 54 years; Richard Kueber of Fort Wayne.

Son and daughter-in-law; James and Rita Kueber of Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Son and daughter-in-law; Bret and Jessica Kueber of Auburn.

Four grandchildren; David, Katy, Elly and Charlie.

She was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Betty Minshall and one brother; Richard Smith.

A private family memorial service will be held later in the spring.
