Edward H. May, age 97, of Auburn passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn. 

Mr. May was born in Waterloo on February 21, 1920 to John and Mary (Dapp) May.

He married Meridith J. Howard on August 28, 1941 in Auburn.  She preceded him in death on December 12, 2005.  

Mr. May was a truck driver for Essex Corporation and several other companies for 50 years.  He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include: 

Daughter and son-in-law; Diane and Kenneth Harding of Auburn.

Daughter; Cheryl Shultz of Auburn.

Daughter and son-in-law; Cindy and Larry Bolen of Auburn.

7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Meridith, daughter; Renee May, 2 grandchildren; Kirk Bolen and Curtis Bolen, son-in-law; Barry Shultz, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 500 East Seventh Street in Auburn.

Officiating the memorial mass with be Father Timothy Wrozek.

Burial will take place at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Waterloo.
