Eugene C. Carper, age 80, of Auburn passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, October 10, 2016. 

Mr. Carper was born on March 20, 1936 in Auburn to Lloyd and Thelma (Zonker) Carper.  He graduated from Riverdale High School in St. Joe in 1955.

He married Beverly S. Brown on July 7, 1957 in Auburn.  She resides in Auburn.

Mr. Carper has worked in the printing business since 1956.  He first worked for the Auburn Printing Company before opening and operating Carper Printing in 1978.  He also owned his own roofing business in Auburn for 20 years.    

He was a member of the Auburn Moose Lodge for many years and enjoyed bowling in their bowling league.  He was a little league umpire for several years as well as a referee for youth basketball.  He truly enjoyed interacting and talking with people.

His wife; Beverly Carper of Auburn.

Son and daughter-in-law; Robert and Tonia Carper of Auburn.

Daughter; Debbie Carper-Jordan; Bryan, Ohio.

3 grandchildren; Kevin and Aimee Carper of Detroit, Michigan.

Jenifer and Todd Sidel of Leo.

Heather and Mike Wade of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

11 great grandchildren; Owen Carper, Knox Carper, Arden Sidel, Ana Sidel, Alaina Sidel, Thomas Sidel, Emmerich Sidel, Weston Sidel, Caiden Tellez, Michael Wade and Matthew Wade.

Brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Frank and Geri Brown of Wolcottville.

Brother-in-law; Bill Brown of Auburn.

Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Janice Carper.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Auburn.

Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Tom Wilcoxson.

Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
