Georgina “Gina” Walker, age 52, of Garrett peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne. 

Gina was born on September 11, 1964 in Muncie, Indiana to James and Katherine (Chadwick) Trumbo.  She graduated from Paul Harding High School in Fort Wayne in 1982.

She married Paul Walker on June 15, 1985 in Fort Wayne.  He resides in Garrett. 

Gina worked as a sales representative for Koehlinger Security Technology in Fort Wayne for 29 years.

She was an active member of the First Church of Christ in Garrett.  She was the Founder of Gina’s Closet in Garrett.  Gina’s Closet is an outreach ministry of the First Church of Christ and operated out of the church’s basement for a time until they were able to acquire its current location at 133 South Randolph Street.  She was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include: 

Her husband; Paul Walker of Garrett.

Daughter and son-in-law; Elizabeth and Joshua Bradford of Austin, Texas.

Daughter and son-in-law; Jessica and Brandon Killingbeck of Warren, Indiana.

Sister; Kathy Trumbo of Fort Wayne.

Brother; Jimmy Trumbo of Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.  Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Church of Christ, 213 East King Street in Garrett.

Burial will take place at Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett.

Officiating the funeral service will be Brother Bud Owen of the First Church of Christ.
