Hazelann Kimmel, 82, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016, at her home in Auburn.

She was born April 1, 1934, in Huntington, to Ronald C. and Eva B. (Blazer) Holmes. She married Wayne E. Kimmel on May 23, 1953, in the Sacred Heart Church in Fort Wayne, and he passed away Sept. 22, 2006.

Hazelann was a homemaker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn where she served as a religious teacher for three years. She was a former member of the Legion of Mary.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael W. and Shelley Kimmel of Pleasant Lake, and Larry L. and Debra Kimmel of Auburn; a daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie A. and Russell Emerick of Auburn; six grandchildren, Anne Marie (Jeff) Chaney, Christopher R.L.  (Crystal) Emerick, Melissa A. (Chad) McCoy, Julie L. Kimmel, Bryan L. Kimmel, and Wayne E. Kimmel II; 12 great grandchildren, Kaelee, Trent, Mara, Jarrod, Zach, Emily, Dave, Jessie, Maelee, Kenzli, Marcus, and Conner; a brother-in-law, Robert McGee; a sister-in-law, Sandra Holmes; a special friend and sister-in-law, Maxine Kimmel; a special cousin, Phyllis Grady; and nieces and nephews, Laura, Michelle, Lisa, Kristine, James, Kirk, Kris, Loretta, Cliff, Marilyn, Phyllis, Steve, Sally, and Tim.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and six siblings, Raymond, Esther, Robert, Diane, Ronald, and James.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 500 E. Seventh St., Auburn, with visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church. Father David Carkenord will be officiating. Burial will take place in Roselawn Cemetery in Auburn.

Visitation will also be from 5 – 8 p.m. Friday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with the rosary being recited at 4:45 p.m. Friday prior to visitation.

Memorials may be directed DART or masses to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Auburn.
