Jack L Miser

Waterloo – Jack L Miser, 89 of Waterloo died Friday April 6, 2018 at his home in Waterloo. He was born June 16, 1928 in Richland Township in DeKalb County to Wilbur C and P. Orlena (Triplett) Miser. Jack was a 1946 Graduate of Waterloo High School and was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as Supervisor of Electronic Maintenance equipment. He was a member of the Waterloo United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, Auburn American Legion Post 97 and a former IOOF Oddfellows Lodge member. He married Martha J Gratz on April 2, 1949 in Waterloo and she passed away July 3, 2004. Surviving are 3 daughters, Nancy Miser of Auburn, Sandra McAfee and Jim Turcovsky of Auburn and Rebecca Tompkins-Mitchell and her husband Pat of Wolcottville; 12 grandchildren, Anthony Miser, Todd McAfee, Meghann McAfee, Molly (Lee) Eddy, Danielle (Bob) Taylor, Michael (Allyson) Turcovsky, Jaimi (Brad) Chorpenning, Deidri Greer, Kurt (Katie) Tompkins, Jaime (Mike) Meyer, Abby (Sean) Brantl and Jon (Lindsay) Mitchell; 26 great grandchildren; 2 sister in laws, Phyllis Gratz Poff of Auburn and Laura Phillips of Auburn. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son in law, Steve Tompkins and 2 sisters, Garcile Myers and Melva Myers. Services will be 11 AM Wednesday April 11, 2018 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo with Rev Mike Halferty officiating. Burial will follow the service in Waterloo Cemetery. Calling is Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
