Jean Myers, 91, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, with her husband Bob by her side.

Born Feb. 17, 1926, in Greene County, Ind., Jean was the daughter of the late Ralph and Vada (Watkins) Ooley.

Jean's most treasured occupation was being a homemaker. Her life was guided by her faith and love for God and his Son, Jesus Christ.

She married Robert Myers on Aug. 21, 1952, in Greene County, Ind., enjoying 65 years together.

She is also survived by her  three children, Stephen (Lornagail) Myers of Frankenmuth, Mich., Marlene (Tom) Bassett of Fort Wayne, and Mark (Jeanette) Myers of Sharpsburg, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Gillis, Janell Myers, Katryne Myers, Matthew (Stephanie) Davis, David (Alyssa) Myers, Carson Myers, and Alecia Myers;  10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda (Verdus) Olson of Indianapolis; and a brother, Lloyd (Janice) Ooley of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Don Ooley and Paul Ooley.

Funeral service is 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at Feller & Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, Ind., with visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.

Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at Lindenwood Cemetery, 2324 West Main St., Fort Wayne.
