Butler – Karen Ann Czaja, 66 of Butler died Wednesday December 13, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born April 24, 1951 in Bryan, OH to Leo Carlton and Alice Isabelle (Lemmon) Thorp. They have both passed away as has a brother Fay Thorp. Karen was a 1969 graduate of Eastside High School. She worked at Knisley Bank in Butler for a few years and S & S Oil in Butler for 18 years. She formerly attended the Butler Church of Christ. She loved her cats, traveling and the time spent with her family. She was also an avid Detroit Tiger fan. Karen married Joseph Czaja on June 21, 1971 in Louisville, KY and he survives in Butler. Also surviving is a son and daughter, Michael Czaja of Angola and Melissa Czaja of Fort Wayne; 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Carolyn (Dick) Ross of Antwerp, OH, Marilyn (Bob) Ross of Butler, Ronald (Laverne) Thorp of Edgerton, OH, Eugene (Linda) Thorp of Fort Wayne and Sharon (Jack) Wallace of Butler. Funeral service is 2 PM Sunday, Dec. 17, 17, 2017 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN. Burial will follow the service in Butler Cemetery, Butler, IN. Calling is Saturday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7PM and also 1 hour prior to the service Sunday from 1 to 2 at the funeral home.
