Kay Ellen Benbow Auburn – Kay Ellen Benbow, 75, of Auburn passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. She was born June 11, 1941, in Oakville to Carl and Violet (Runyon) Veach. Kay married Edward Benbow on August 27, 1961, in Oakville, and he survives. She worked as the Auburn Presbyterian Church secretary for 14 years. She then went to work as a secretary for Brown and Brown Insurance, retiring on August 26, 2006 Kay was a member of the Auburn Presbyterian Church. Also surviving are a daughter, Marci Haw of Indianapolis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Tara Benbow of Auburn, and Mark and Jenny Benbow of Auburn; four grandchildren, PFC Nathan Benbow of Fort Carson, Colorado, Sam Benbow of Auburn, Olivia Benbow of Auburn, and Sylvia Benbow of Auburn; a brother in law and sister-in-law, Don and Gerlinde Benbow of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Carleen Buffington. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Auburn Presbyterian Church, 111 W. 12th St., Auburn, with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Lyle Ewing will be officiating. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn. Visitation also will be from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.
