Louise J (Muzzillo) Shanabarger, 91, an Auburn resident all her life died Thursday October 20, 2011 at Provena Sacred Heart Nursing Home in Avilla.

She was born November 29, 1919 in Auburn to Louis and Angeline (Catrina) Muzzillo. They have both passed away.

Louise worked as in inspector at Essex Corporation for 26 years before retiring in 1982.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn. She belonged to the Rosary Society of the church. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and member of the Women of the Moose.

Louise married Lee Shanabarger on January 5, 1946 in Auburn and he died September 11, 2007.

She is survived by 2 daughters and a son in law, Sister Joyce L Shanabarger of Evanston, IL and Rita A and John Lumm of Lexington, OH; 2 grandchildren, Ryan (Lori) Lumm of Delaware, OH and Abby Lumm of Columbus, OH; 3 sisters, Erma Wappes of Auburn, Marjorie Weaver of Wabash and Susan (Douglas) Kelly of Auburn; 2 Brothers, Wayne (Phyllis) Muzzillo of Auburn, Pete (Thais) Muzzillo of Sebring, FL; a sister in law, Janet Muzzillo of Auburn and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 3 brothers Art, Ralph and Stanley Muzzillo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Monday October 24, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn. Father Derek Sneyd will officiate. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Auburn. Calling is Sunday from 2 to 6 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, Auburn and also 1 hour prior to the service at the church Monday. Preferred memorials can be directed to Sacred Heart Home in Avilla or American Diabetes Association.
