Michael L. “Mike” Mayse

Auburn – Michael L. ”Mike” Mayse, 65 died Monday September 16, 2013 at his home in Auburn surrounded by his family.

He was born July 29, 1948 to Woodrow W and Ruth “JoAnna” (Croy) Mayse.

He was a 1967 graduate of Auburn High School and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mike was a quality control engineer for Warsaw Coil retiring from there in 2011.

He was a member of the American Legions of both Auburn and Garrett.

Mike married Judith E Troyer on May 7, 1994 in Auburn and she passed away February 25, 2012.

Surviving are a daughter and son, Angela M (Rolando) Perez of Fort Wayne and Cory Y Mayse of Fort Wayne; a step son and step daughter, Jason T Hassett of Auburn and Nicole L (Anthony) Uhrick of Decatur; 6 grandchildren, Rolando Perez III, Zachary Perez, Xavier Perez, Keegan Mayse, Kori Ann Mayse and Chloe Uhrick; 3 brothers, Donald E. (Sharon) Mayse of Brea, CA, David L (Karen) Mayse of South Point, OH and Stephen L. (Susan) Mayse of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother Rev. Richard A Mayse and a sister Kathy D Miller.

Services are 2 PM Saturday September 21, 2013 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn. Calling is Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and also 1 hour prior to the service Saturday from 1 to 2 PM all at the funeral home. Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by the US Army and American Legion Post 97 of Auburn. Memorials can be directed to American Legion Post 97 of Auburn or Garrett American Legion Post 178.
