Renee M. Cottier, age 57, of Fort Wayne and formerly of LaOtto passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. 

Renee was born on December 2, 1959 to Thomas Garver and Glenda (Days) Shank. 

She worked at Dana Corporation in Fort Wayne for 25 years.  Prior to working at Dana she was a health care worker in the Fort Wayne area for several years.

Renee enjoyed cooking, doing crafts and reading among other things.  She liked plants and loved animals.  One of her favorite things to do was to spend time with her family, especially her grandson Carter.

Son; Jaime Cottier of Harlan.

Grandson; Carter Cottier of Harlan.

Sister and brother-in-law; Dana and Terry Geiger of Avilla.

Sister and brother-in-law; Wendy and Terry Dyer of Fort Wayne.

Sister; Andrea Shank of Fort Wayne.

Nieces, nephews and their spouses; Angie and Jerry Moriarity, Jake and Courtney Dyer, Brooke Dyer, Justin Shank and Morgan Shank.

Great nieces and nephews; Cobin, McClain, Jax, Jaymin, Avalynn, Adalynn and Emma Grace.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents; Zidania and Earl Brindle.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the Avilla American Legion Post 240, 205 Ley Street in Avilla.
