Garrett – Renee Rickman, 59, of Garrett, died peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday August 30, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born September 28, 1957 in Sacramento, CA to James and Jeanne (Sawyer) Chambers. Her father has passed away and her mother survives in Waverly, TN. Renee worked for 18 years at Magnavox in Auburn before retiring in 2002 and she was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kendallville. She married Bill Rickman on November 25, 1988 in Auburn and he survives in Garrett. Also surviving are 4 children, Kristi Payton of Garrett, Bradley Payton of Waverly, TN, Stephanie (Richard) Keahi of Fort Wayne and Kaitlyn Rickman of Garrett; 8 grandchildren, Kelly Bauer, Kyra Kester, Kolten Rodman, Brandon Payton, Rachel Dye, Bailey Payton, Kainani Rickman-Keahi, Richard Rickman-Keahi; 2 great grandchildren, Cameron Bauer and C.J. Bauer and a sister Regina Brockmueller of Los Angeles, CA. She was preceded in death by her father and 3 sisters. A family graveside service will be at noon Saturday at St. Johns Cemetery in Logansport. Calling is Friday from 3 to 7 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn.
