REV. ELVIN E. JONES, 91, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at Signature Health care of Fort Wayne.

Born May 10, 1926 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Earl and Friea (Whitehurst) Jones.

Attending Fort Wayne Bible College, Elvin was a Pastor and Evangelist. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Angola.

He married Mary A. McAfee on Feb. 24, 1995, in Fort Wayne, and she passed away July 10, 2012.

Surviving are three children, Jerry (Becky) Jones of Fort Wayne, Ginger (Andy) Keever of Fort Wayne, and Gary (Sherri) Jones of Churubusco; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Wallace Jones.

Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017at Feller & Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastor Greg Byman officiating.

Burial will take place in Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
