Rodney Blake Combs Sr., age 68, of Waterloo passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at his Waterloo home. 

Rodney was born on November 2, 1947 in Garrett, Kentucky to Dolph and Minnie (Smith) Combs. 

He married Christine F. Johnston on November 22, 1982 in Fremont, Indiana and she resides in Waterloo.       

Rodney worked for the Budd Company in Kendallville for 6 years.  He also worked for Armes Security as a security guard at Wells Fargo bank for 11 ½ years and he worked as a handyman for Concord Community Park for 13 years.  He was a member of the One Truth Christian Outreach in Ashley.

Son and daughter-in-law; Rodney B. Combs, Jr. and his wife, Nicole of Centerville, Michigan.

Son; Robert Combs of Jackson, Michigan.

Son and daughter-in-law; Eric and Mandy Limpert of Hillsdale, Michigan.

Daughter; Andrea Johnston of Michigan.

Daughter and her companion; Zeda Stahl and Joe Heiple of Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Daughter and son-in-law; Cathy Jo and Ray Ashley of Waterloo.

Daughter; Valisa Laderach of Waterloo.

Daughter and son-in-law; Tanya and Tim Gardner of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Daughter; Nancy Davenport of Knottsville, Tennessee.

30 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Brother and sister-in-law; John and Helen Combs of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Brother and sister-in-law; Billy and Sheryl Combs of Burr Oak, Michigan.

Sister and brother-in-law; Betty and James McDonald of Waterloo.

Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Nancy Combs, granddaughter; Alpcha Lynn Combs and nephew; Greg McDonald.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Waterloo. 

Officiating will be Pastor Barb Keene.

Burial Fairfield Cemetery in Corunna.
