Fort Wayne – Sarah Elizabeth Myers, age 44, went with Jesus to her heavenly home, March 12, 2017, at Lakeland Nursing Home, Angola, IN after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

She was born July 25, 1972, to Darrel and Nancy (Brandon) Myers.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Nancy and Harry Fike of Angola; her brother, Ben (Crystal) Myers of Auburn; her stepbrother, Aaron (Alisa) Fike of Butler; her stepsister, Jessica Fike of Albion, four nephews, 2 nieces, one great nephew, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Darrel Gene Myers, December 23, 1992; her maternal grandparents, John and Wava Brandon; her paternal grandparents, Hugh and Mazie Myers; her aunt, Dana Brandon Smith and her cousin, Andrew Brandon.

She previously attended Rise, Inc. in Angola before moving to Fort Wayne where she lived in a ResCare group home, she then attended Arc (Golden Arrows) in Fort Wayne.

Her great loves were Jesus and her church family, books, birds, coloring, fishing, riding the golf cart and playing Battleship. She loved saying, “Glub, glub, glub” whenever she sank her opponent’s ships. She brightened everyone’s day with her big smile while tapping her nose. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Services will be 12 noon, Wednesday March15, 2017 at Independent Full Gospel Church in Ashley with Pastor Sam Weimer officiating. Burial will be in Waterloo Cemetery.

Calling will be 2 hours prior to the service Wednesday from 10 to noon at the church.

Memorials can be given in Sarah’s honor to Arc (Golden Arrows), Independent Full Gospel Church of Ashley or a church of your Choice.
