HUDSON — Stanley K. “Stan” Harris, 70, of Hudson died Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida.

Mr. Harris was a truck driver for Consolidated Freight in Fremont for 25 years, retiring in 2001. He was currently working as a security guard for US Security FCCI in Sarasota, Florida.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in rural Waterloo. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Palmetto, Florida.

He was born Nov. 10, 1946, in Princeton, to the late Robert Lee and June Jeanette (Small) Harris.

He married Sharon K. Schubert on Feb. 17, 1965, in Indianapolis, and she survives.

Also surviving are three children, Dana Harris of Indianapolis, Melissa (Jeff) Shaffer of Ashley and Scott (April) Harris of Kendallville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert L. Harris II of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry Harris.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1098 C.R. 39, Waterloo, with Father David Carkenord officiating. Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the United States Army and American Legion Post 97 of Auburn.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo.
