Kendallville – Stephen A Hurd, 62 of Kendallville passed away Saturday September 10, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born February 7, 1954 in Bryan Oh to Stephen and Madeline (Rocky) Hurd. He worked at the former Broadview Lumber in Auburn before his health forced him to stop working. He is survived by his wife Pamela Sue (Frick) Hurd. They were married August 16, 1992 in the Agape Assembly of God Church in Waterloo. He is also survived by a daughter, Shannon Baxla of Michigan; 4 grandchildren, Nicklas Reffeitt of Fort Wayne, Lucas Baxla of Ashley, Cole Baxla of Fremont and Logan Baxla of Fremont; 2 sisters Colleen (Rick) Baldwin of Edgerton and Jean (John) Hall of Bryan, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Wilmer Lutz, a son Steve Hurd, a daughter Brandy Hurd and a sister Becky Elser. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Friday, September 16, 2016 at Agape Assembly of God Church, 960 Lincoln Street, Waterloo, IN 46793 with Pastor Thomas Neddersen officiating.
