Terry Palmerton
March 17, 1937 ~ May 9, 2017 (age 80) 80 Years OldTerry L. Palmerton, age 80, of Garrett passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born on March 17, 1937 in Ray, Michigan to Ernest and Imo (Sowle) Palmerton.
He married Siglinde Seban on July 4, 1956 in Germany. She resides in Garrett.
Mr. Palmerton honorably served his country in the United States Army for a total of 20 years. He earned a Silver Star, Bronze Star, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal with star and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. After retiring from the Army Terry worked for APV Corporation in Atlanta and the New Horizons Bakery in Fremont.
He was a member of the Auburn American Legion Post 97, Auburn Moose Lodge, Auburn Elks Lodge, Kendallville VFW Post 2749, and the 40 & 8 Club. He also was an accomplished woodworker.

Son; Terry Palmerton Jr. of Angola.

Son; Scott Palmerton of Tampa.
20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Sister and brother-in-law; Louise and Marion Kennison of Turkey Lake.
Preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.
Military honors will be performed by the Auburn American Legion Color Guard at on Friday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
