Auburn – V. Imogene (Staley) Miller, 93 of Auburn died Thursday November 23, 2017 at DeKalb Health in Auburn. She was born in Wilmington Township in DeKalb County on June 14, 1924 to Ralph E and Florence B. (Myers) Staley. Imogene was a graduate of Butler High School class of 1942 and was a DeKalb County Resident her entire life. Throughout her life she worked at, Messenger Corporation in Auburn, The Auburn Rubber Company, Electric Motors in Garrett, GE of Fort Wayne, Forrest Harding Insurance and Tax Service in Auburn and State Farm Insurance in Auburn. She was a member of the Cedar Lake Church of Christ. She was also a member of BPW (Business & Professional Women) for over 30 years. She was former State President and a District Director for BPW. She was a member of Auburn American Legion, Auburn Moose, Auburn Eastern Star, Butler Eagles, Auburn, Cord Duesenberg Museum, DAR( Daughters of American Revolution)- Lexington, Mass and was a Life Member of Gene Stratton Porter Memorial Society, serving as President for three years. Her hobbies included collecting Steiff Bears and Gene Stratton Porter Books. Surviving are 3 sons and a daughter, Diane (Steckley) Perna and her husband George of North Andover, Mass, David Winebrenner and wife Linda of Auburn, Daryl Winebrenner and wife Patty of Temple NH and Denis Winebrenner and wife Clara Mary of Auburn; 12 grandchildren Kimberly Caple of North Andover, MA, Jeannie Mickel of North Andover, MA, Jacquelyn (Tom Timperio) Perna-Timperio of Newton, MA, Brent (Sonja) Winebrenner of Auburn, Eric Winebrenner of Auburn, Sara (Joshua) Snyder of Fort Wayne, Ryan (Lisa Treace) Winebrenner of Ashley, Misty (Richard Chiu) Winebrenner of Los Angeles, CA, Jacob Winebrenner of Nashville, TN, Ami (Jason) Gomez of Fort Wayne, Devon Winebrenner of Auburn and Riley Winebrenner of Auburn; 16 great grandchildren, Nikala Caple, Maya Caple, Taliya Caple, Kristopher Mickel and Nathaniel Mickel all of North Andover, MA, Tyler Perna-Timperio and Taten Perna-Timperio both of Newton, MA, Josef Winebrenner, Gavin Winebrenner and Paige Winebrenner of Auburn, Evan Snyder and Cora Snyder of Fort Wayne, Clarissa Treace of LaOtto, Meghan Winebrenner, Morgan Gomez and Grace Gomez of Fort Wayne; 1 sister, Edith Marilyn (Staley) Pierce of Butler and Multiple Nephews, Nieces and Cousins.. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, LaVern E. Staley and Raymond E. Staley. Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday November 28, 2017 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN with Rev Grant Merrell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Auburn.
