William W. “Bill” Davis, age 87, of New Haven and formerly of Auburn passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at The Cedars in Leo. 

He was born on April 19, 1930 in Johnson City, New York to Wilfred and Liela (Chahill) Davis.  He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955.

Bill married Evalyn (Copsey) Arnold on February 17, 2007.  She resides in New Haven.

He worked for Magnavox in Fort Wayne before retiring in March of 1995.

Bill was a former member of the Auburn Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir.  He was also a former member of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum Board of Directors and he served on the Advisory Council for Aging and In Home Services.  He also served as the president of the Heimach Center in Auburn for 7 years.

Survivors include: 

His wife; Evalyn Davis of New Haven.

Son and daughter-in-law; Mark and Debbie Davis of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Daughter; Debra Baumgartner of Scottsdale, Arizona.

2 grandchildren.

Sister and brother-in-law; Nancy and George Sackman of California.

There will be no services held at this time.

Memorials may be directed to the Heimach Center, 1800 East Seventh Street, Auburn, Indiana 46706 and the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, 1600 South Wayne Street, Auburn, Indiana 46706.
