Allen “Jake” Presley, 86, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at his home in rural Hamilton.
Mr. Presley owned and operated his own timber exporting and buying company called Presley and Presley Logging. He also worked as a Steuben County farmer along with owning J&J Auto in Angola.
He was born September 16, 1931, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Raymond and Juanita (Arey) Presley.
He married Jeanette “Jan” Clark on November 30, 1952, in Montpelier, Ohio, and she survives in Hamilton.
Also surviving are five daughter and sons-in-law: Soni Presley of Hamilton, Bo Elkins of Angola, Monica Presley of Hamilton, Tracy (Jerry) Rinehart of Hudson and Kyra (Scott) Lucas of Hamilton; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Glen (Nancy) Presley of Angola, and Gary (Denise) Presley of Hamilton; and three sisters, Ruth Sanxter of Hamilton, Donia (Tony) Sprenger of Amherst, Ohio, and Nita (Donel) Sprenger of Vermilion, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Wanda Copsey, Emma Jean Maestas and Olive Kaye Presley; and one brother, Charles Presley.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service. Jeff Alexander will be officiating. Burial will take place in Eddy Cemetery in rural Hamilton.
Visitation also will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed the Ronald McDonald House or the Hamilton Church of Christ.
