FORT WAYNE — Barbara Ellen Campbell, 83, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at her home in Fort Wayne.

She was born March 14, 1934, in Indianapolis to the late Grover and Ruth (DeVault) Albertson.

She married Richard Eugene Campbell on July 29, 1953, in Angola, and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2006.

She worked for Glen Oaks Nursing Home and the Auburn Hotel as a housekeeper.

She was a member of the Harvest Freewill Baptist Church in Fort Wayne. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Moose Lodge 261 of Auburn.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Connie Campbell of Fort Wayne, and Bennie and Brenda Campbell of Auburn; a son-in-law, Lou Chastian; five grandchildren, Shawnna (Matt) Hilkey, Shane (Crystal) Campbell, Robert Lechko, Michail (Danellie) Campbell, and Heather Campbell; six great-grandchildren, Robin, Trevor, Brysten, Tyler, Warrick, and Brenden; and one great-great-grandson, Benjamin.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a daughter, Christine Horn.

Private burial will take place in Butler Cemetery.
