HAMILTON — Beverly R. “Betty” Jackson, 93, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, at DeKalb Health hospital in Auburn.
She was born Nov. 1, 1924, in Allen County to the late Earl B. and Helen (Iddings) Householder.
Betty married Herbert D. Jackson on June 29, 1946, in Kendallville, and he passed away Feb. 23, 2017.
Betty worked for Pittsfield of Indiana in Hamilton. After her retirement from Pittsfield of Indiana, she owned and operated J & J Upholstery in Hamilton for several years.
She was a charter member of Psi Rho Sorority and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet L. and Charles Hanes of Hamilton and Judy L. and Jim Milleman of Orland; two grandchildren, Charles Hanes IV of Fort Wayne and Hilary Milleman of Indianapolis; great-granddaughter Carlie Hanes of Antwerp, Ohio; four siblings and their spouses, Robert and Lavon Householder of LaOtto, Earl B. and Barbara Householder of Portage, Tom and Lora Householder of Florida and Phyllis Reardon of Auburn; and brother-in-law Jack Bensted of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Warren Householder; and a sister, Barbara Bensted.
Services will be noon Monday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with Jeff Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
