Claude Wallen
Hamilton – Claude Wallen, 64 passed away Tuesday February 25, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born July 26, 1949 in Garrett, KY to Beverage and Ellen S. (Wicker) Wallen.
He was a graduate of Ivy Tech. He worked for Dana / Eaton Corp. for 30 years in Tool Grind before retiring from there in 2000. He has also been a self employed Bail Bondsman since 1990.
Claude was a member of the NRA, United Auto Workers Union Local 164 and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife Helen M Wallen of Waterloo; 2 sons and a daughter, Claude Wallen Jr and his wife Mary of Nashville, Chad L Wallen and his wife Melinda of Fort Wayne, Dana L Ginder and her husband Kerry of Auburn; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Flossie Strange of Lima, OH, Ethel Kline of Albion, Sue Lowder of Kendallville, Bertha (Bill) Bryant of Kendallville and Pam Hovarter of Kendallville.
Services are 10 Am Saturday March 1, 2014 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo with Rev James Caudill officiating. Calling is Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to DeKalb County Humane Shelter or Northeastern Indiana Cancer Services of Fort Wayne.
