David A. Warstler, 66, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at his home in rural Butler.
He was born Nov. 13, 1952, in Angola to the late Lester and Lucele (Fett) Warstler.
David worked for Bohn Aluminum/Butler Citation in Butler for 24 years, retiring when the company closed its Butler location.
David had a love for classic automobiles and enjoyed restoring and detailing his many classics, including his 1969 GTO. His true passion in life was the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved attending and rarely missed their many events and sporting activities.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Rebecca and Kenneth Yoder of Spencerville, and Jennifer Munger of Auburn; nine grandchildren, Zachary Yoder, Olivia Yoder, Sydney Yoder, Brett Warstler, Dylan Blade, Laci Munger, Shelby Warstler, Logan Warstler and Lilly Warstler; sister, Elaine Etheridge of San Antonio, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Pauline Warstler of Des Moines, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Warstler of Dallas, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Warstler; two sisters, Marcia Warstler and Audrey (Jerry) Shell; and a brother, Richard Warstler.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from noon-1 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Steve Eicher will be officiating. Burial will take place in Butler Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to an educational fund for David’s nine grandchildren in care of Rebecca Yoder through Beacon Credit Union.
