Deborah Kay (Wattier) Geeting

Deborah Kay Geeting, 68, of Auburn passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Deborah was born January 10, 1950, in Auburn.

She married Michael L. Geeting on April 12, 1969, at the First United Methodist Church in Auburn, and he survives.

Deborah worked for the DeKalb County Probation Department, Dr. Spink, The Evening Star and Wible & Associaties in Auburn.

She was a member of the Waterloo Freewill Baptist Church in rural Waterloo.

Deborah loved her flower garden and enjoyed and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Denissa Geeting of Auburn; daughter and son-in-law Erin and Mark Thrush of Garrett; six grandchildren, Samantha Mettert, Alivia Thrush, Morgan Thrush, Abbey Geeting, Autumn Geeting and Sophia Geeting; three siblings and their spouses, Terri Grogg of Auburn, Gregg and Linda Wattier of Auburn and Roberta and Eric Kuhlhorst of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Eugene “Gene” Wattier; mother and stepfather Bess E. and Hubert “Hugger” Miller; stepsister Diana Houk; a nephew, Colby Wattier; and father-in-law and mother-in-law Edison W. and Doris C. Geeting.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from 9-10 a.m. Friday prior to the service. The Rev. Ron Stambaugh and Thad Ford will be officiating.

Visitation also will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
