Deborah L. Wendel, age 68, of Waterloo passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at her Waterloo home.
She was born on December 29, 1950 in Angola to Dean and Ellen (Kenyon) Chester. She was a 1969 graduate of Coldwater High School.
As well as being a home maker and raising her family Deborah worked at Acorn in Quincy, Michigan and Limeosol in Ashley, Indiana. She grew up on a farm and she was very active in 4-H. She also enjoyed playing softball. Her family was very important to her.

Son; Bryan Wendel and Emily Morrow of Waterloo.
Son; Jason Wendel of Waterloo.
Longtime partner of 29 years; Lonnie Fender of Waterloo.
Granddaughter; Oaklee Wendel of Waterloo.
Brother; Kelvin Chester of Angola.
Niece; Elizabeth Chester.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother; Kenneth Chester.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.
A Graveside committal service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Sorter Cemetery in Branch County, Michigan.
Burial will take place in Sorter Cemetery in Branch County, Michigan.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Wendel Family to help with expenses in care of the Feller and Clark Funeral Home.
