Delbert O “Peanut” Myers, 82, died Tuesday August 28, 2012 at his home in Auburn.
He was born March 24, 1930 in Onalaska, Washington to Albert and Gertrude (Shepard) Myers.
He was a Corporal in the US Army serving during the Korean War where he earned a S. Korean Unit Citation.
He worked as a truck driver for Supreme Transit Mix for 28 years retiring in 1995.
He was a life member of the Garrett V.F.W. and a member of the Garrett American Legion.
Delbert married Naomi Sebert on July 3, 1954 in Angola and she survives. He is also survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters, Don (Connie) Myers of Auburn, Pam Trader of Albion, Kathy (Tony) Griffin of Garrett and Richard Myers of Auburn, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a sister Betty Stafford of Grant Pass, OR and a brother Robert Myers of Portland, OR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Robert Myers, a son in law Joe Trader, a brother Lester Myers, a sister Doris Stafford and 2 step brothers Dale and Richard Fox.
Calling will be Thursday from 12 to 2 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street, Auburn, IN. A private graveside service will be held after calling is over at Corunna Cemetery in Corunna. Preferred Memorials can be directed to DeKalb Home Health Care and Hospice.
