Donald W. Berry, age 83, of Auburn passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Auburn Village Nursing Home in Auburn. 

He was born in Toledo, Ohio on July4, 1934 to John and Florence (Fanning) Berry. 

Mr. Berry honorably served his country in the United States Navy.

He married Sue Ellen Heitz on March 2, 1973.  She resides in Auburn.

Mr. Berry was a self-employed electrician.  He owned The Service Company and he served the Fort Wayne area and surrounding communities for 30 years.  Don was active in the Heimach Center in Auburn.  He volunteered his time and electrical skills to them for several years.  He was a member of the New Hope Christian Center in Waterloo and a former member of the Freemasons Hall in Fort Wayne.  Don enjoyed listening to gospel music and attending bluegrass concerts.     

Survivors Include:

His wife; Sue Ellen Berry of Auburn.

Step daughter and son-in-law; Charis and John Berry of Auburn.

Step son; Craig Halliday of Auburn, New York.

Sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Jan and Dick Burtch of Pleasant Lake.

6 grandchildren; Aaron Berry of Indianapolis, Alyssa Berry of Bloomington, Adam Berry of Toledo, Shawn Berry of Toledo, Nathan Berry of Texas and Alicia Berry of Texas.

Niece; Linda and Gary Emch of Fremont.

Nephew; Gary and Marge Hancock of Toledo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons; Donald Berry and Alan Berry and a sister and brother-in-law; Dorothy and Walt Hancock.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.

A gathering of friends will be held one hour prior to the memorial service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Officiating the memorial service will be Pastor Ralph Diehl of the New Hope Christian Center. 

Memorial donations may be directed toward the New Hope Christian Center, 900 South Wayne Street, Waterloo, Indiana 46793.
