AUBURN — Dorothy L. Middleton, 87, of Auburn, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Garrett.
Mrs. Middleton was a pastor’s wife and homemaker.
She was a member of the County Line Church of God. As a pastor’s wife, she played the piano and taught Sunday school.
She was born July 21, 1931, in Rolla, Missouri, to the late James and Edna (Ross) Hunter.
She was a graduate of Warren Pacific Bible College in Portland, Oregon.
She married the Rev. Norman Middleton on March 18, 1950, in Rolla, Missouri, and he passed away Dec. 5, 2012.
Surviving are four children, Howard Lee Middleton of El Campo, Texas, Marlene L. (Keith) Kaufman of Niles, Michigan, David R. (Julianna) Middleton of Navarre, Florida, and Daniel L. (Linda) Middleton of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Paul (Dorothy) Hunter of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Gloria Camerish of Rolla, Missouri, and Bill (Bonnie) Hunter of Flat, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three children, Kenneth Edward Middleton, Darrell Duane Middleton, and Marilynn J. (Al Ferguson) Merten; a great-granddaughter; four siblings, Roy Hunter, Sadie Lewis, Clarence (Evelyn) Miller, and June (Winston) Long; brother-in-law, Dave Camenish; and two sisters-in-law, Mary (Jake) Villegas and Ruthellen (Felipe) Merioles.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at County Line Church of God, 7716 N. County Line Rd. E., Auburn, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Howard L. Middleton will be officiating.
Visitation also will take place from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.
Private burial will take place at Reitenour Cemetery in Ridgeville.
