Emogene Greer, age 92, of Auburn passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Chapman Place in Fort Wayne.
She was born on June 24, 1926 in Archibald, Ohio to Francis and Clara (Miller) Goodwin. She was a Waterloo High School graduate.
Emogene married Edward Greer on March 16, 1946 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1984.
She worked for 4 different insurance agencies over her many years in insurance beginning with George Spears Insurance and Wayne Sebert Insurance both in Waterloo. She then worked for Carper Sibery Insurance in Auburn and retired from Farm Bureau Insurance in Auburn.
Emogene was a former member of the Waterloo VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include:
Son and daughter-in-law; Michael and Ginger Greer of Auburn.
Son; James Greer of Auburn.
Granddaughter; Robyn Close of Waterloo.
Grandson; Scott Greer of Auburn.
6 great grandchildren; Kaden Greer, Logan Greer, Madison Greer, Colton Close, Kendall Close and Kenna Close.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Edward Greer, brother; Richard Goodwin and sister; Dorothy (Dottie) Powelson.
A Private graveside service will be held at Waterloo Cemetery.
