Gerard "Gerry" L'Etoile

Auburn – Gerard “Gerry” L’Etoile, 68 of Auburn died Wednesday August 29, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born September 30, 1949 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Fernand and Doris (Hetu) L’Etoile. They have both passed away as has a sister, Linda Cherwinski. Gerry worked for over 37 years at Bohn Aluminum/Citation in Butler before retiring in 2008. After retiring he enjoyed working part- time at the Train Station in Waterloo. During his 37 years at Bohn Aluminum and Citation he was very active with the union, serving first as shop Steward then served at different times as vice president and also President. He attended the Auburn Church of the Nazarene. He married Connie Vires on November 13, 1989 in Auburn and she survives. Gerry’s also survived by a son Gerald P L’Etoile Jr and his wife Jennifer of Suffolk, VA, a step-son, Jay Haverstock of Auburn and a step-daughter, Candy Wells and her husband Chris of Auburn; 6 grandchildren, Jacob L’Etoile of Auburn, Lena L’Etoile of Suffolk, VA, Megan L’Etoile of Suffolk, VA, Lucas Wells of Auburn, Dominic Wells of Auburn and Austynn Haverstock of Auburn; there are 3 sisters, Ruth, Paulette and Denise. A memorial service will be 11 AM Wednesday September 5, 2018 at the Auburn Church of the Nazarene with Rev Doug Thomas officiating.
