Grace Gunn Obituary

Grace Gunn, age 87, of Auburn passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at DeKalb Health in Auburn.

Mrs. Gunn was born on April 10, 1931 in Harlan, Kentucky to McKinley and Amanda (Blevins) Skidmore.

She married Auburn Gunn on November 4, 1949 in Virginia. He preceded her in death in 1991.

Mrs. Gunn worked as a nurse’s aide at DeKalb Memorial Hospital from 1964 until 1972. She later worked at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn for 10 years retiring in 1996.

Survivors Include:

Son; Forrest Skidmore of Statesville, North Carolina.

Son and daughter-in-law; Joe and Roberta Barton of Spencerville.

Daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Alan Keep of Martinsville, Indiana.

Daughter; Mary Ann Arnold of Garrett.

Daughter and son-in-law; Frankie and Thomas Hefty of Auburn.

9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

3 sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Auburn Gunn, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Private family services will be held.

Burial will take place at the Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
