Helen M. Heether, age 90, of Angola passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Park Place Senior Living in Fort Wayne. 

Mrs. Heether was born on November 6, 1927 in Grinnell, Iowa to Leonard and Anna (Larsen) Halstead. 

She married James H. Heether Jr. on July 30, 1945 in Iowa City, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on November 13, 2007.

Mrs. Heether was a homemaker. 

Survivors include: 

Son; James L. Heether of Dayton, Ohio.

Son and daughter-in-law; Michael and Linda Heether of Florence, Colorado.

Daughter and son-in-law; Deborah and Gregory Herkenhine of Waterloo.

6 grandchildren; April Harlow of Dayton, Ohio, Jennifer Roach of Dayton, Ohio, Allison Heether of Dayton, Ohio, Eric Heether of Denver, Colorado, Jasen Dircksen of Waterloo and Adam Dircksen of Waterloo.

12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son; Mark Heether who passed away on December 4, 2014, 2 sisters; Harriett Esley and Bernice Hotchkins and 4 brothers; Leonard Halstead, Kenny Halstead, Keith Halstead and Edward Halstead.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.   

Burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
