AUBURN — Henry Cracraft Jr., 87, of Auburn died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Cracraft worked in maintenance in a shopping mall in Boca Raton, Fla. In 1991, he returned to Auburn and worked for the YMCA until retiring in 2009.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.

He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the American Legion Post 178 of Garrett.

He was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Sharpsburg, Ky., to Henry Cracraft Sr. and May (Wills) Cracraft. He married Lottie M. Berry on May 8, 1965, in Newville, and she died April 29, 2000.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Paul "Tony" and Marie Brewer of Auburn; a daughter and son-in-law, Lenora and Jim Sattison of Butler; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Phillip G. Brewer; two brothers, Chester Cracraft and Billy Cracraft; a sister, Lola Issac; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with the Rev. Ralph Diehl officiating. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery, Butler, with military graveside services being conducted by the U.S. Army and the American Legion Post 178 of Garrett.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials are to the DeKalb County Humane Shelter.
