AUBURN – Hilda M. McCarthy, 91, of Auburn died Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at DeKalb Health in Auburn.

She was born April 25, 1926, in Fairhaven, Mass. to the late Frank and Helen Santos. She married Robert W. McCarthy on April 25, 1981 in Fairhaven, Mass. He died Nov. 22, 2002.

Mrs. McCarthy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ellen Muzzillo of Auburn; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, John Robert McCarthy; and four brothers, William Santos, Tony Santos, Frank Santos Jr. and Zeto Santos.

The rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Auburn. Visitation will follow until 7 p.m. A prayer service will conclude the evening at 7 p.m.

Burial will take place on Friday at Cold Springs Cemetery in Lockport, New York.
