Jeanne C (Otto) Gehring

Auburn – Jeanne C Gehring, 94 of Auburn died Monday October 22, 2018 in Auburn. She was born April 9, 1924 in Chicago to Walter H. and Lillian S (Fraser) Otto. Jeanne was a local Artist and she owned and operated the Studio Gallery in Auburn for over 30 years. She retired in 2016. She was a member of the Auburn Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. and the Auburn Club. Her paintings are in the Courthouse and City Hall in Indianapolis. She loved to garden and go fishing. She married Robert W Gehring on May 8, 1989 and he survives in Auburn. Also surviving are 3 sons, Scott Cassady of Athens, GA, William “Bill” Cassady and his wife Jackie of Carrollton, TX and Greg Cassady and his wife Pamela of Auburn; 3 step daughters, Lynda Rose of Escondido, CA, Kathy Jenkin of Escondido, CA and Judy Young and her husband Mark of Fort Wayne; 2 stepsons, William Gehring of Escondido, CA and Dan Gehring and his wife Susann of Huntsville, AL; There are 5 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 step great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Walter Otto. Per Jeanne’s wishes there are no services planned at this time.
