Jeanne M (Sutton) Healey

Ashley – Jeanne M Healey, 100, died Monday September 17, 2018 at her home in Ashley. She was born in South Milford on July 20, 1918 to Charles and Bertha (Kramer) Sutton. She worked for the Ashley School System in the cafeteria for 15 years before retiring in 1984. Jeanne was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Waterloo. She loved playing Bingo and attending rabbit shows with her father when he showed rabbits. She also was an avid Cub fan for 92 years and enjoyed traveling the country with her husband. Jeanne married Sherman Healey on June 26, 1939 in Angola and he passed away January 4, 2003. Surviving are 7 children, Michael (Carol) Healey of LaGrange, Jon (Margarita) Healey of Stockton, CA, Teresa (Henry) Roark of Angola, Dennis (Lynda) Healey of Saratoga, WY, Steven Healey of Ashley, Joseph “Pete” Healey of Ashley and Lisa Carpenter of Lake City, MI; 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 children in infancy, 2 brothers Guy Sutton, Howard Sutton and 4 sisters, Helen Hevel, Willa Sutton, Marion Veirs and Shirley Elliott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Thursday September 20, 2018 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Waterloo with Father Vincent Joseph VC officiating. Burial will follow the service in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. Calling is 1 hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 at the church.
