Julia "Julie" Honaker Obituary

Auburn – Julia (Julie) Claire Honaker, 53, formerly of Bluffton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 2, 2018 at the Fort Wayne Visiting Nurse Service Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Julie was born November 3, 1965 in Garrett, Indiana to Betty Jo Honaker and James R. Honaker. Julie is survived by two brothers and one sister, James D. (Angela) Honaker of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; Timothy R. (Sharon) Honaker of Glenville, Illinois; and Janelle (Steven) Graber of Auburn. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael J. Honaker of Auburn, and grandparents Ruby and Joseph Beck and Anna and Roy Honaker. Julie enjoyed being with her family and friends and they will dearly miss her. She also enjoyed nature and animals, including visits to the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, coloring books, country music, and regular visits for haircuts and strawberry shakes. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Fort Wayne Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice C/O Ann Blue at 5910 Homestead Road Fort Wayne, IN 46814, or to ARC Bi-County Services at 425 E. Harrison Road Bluffton, IN 46714, or to the Eckhart Public Library For Every Citizen Fund C/O the Community Foundation of DeKalb County at 700 S. Main Street Auburn, IN 46706.
