Kathryn Rosener Obituary

Kathryn L. Rosener, age 94, of Auburn passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at her Auburn home.

Mrs. Rosener was born on July 7, 1924 in Topeka, Indiana to Cletus and Lela (Lantz) Hooley. She graduated from Topeka High School and from International Business College in Fort Wayne. She worked in accounting at County Line Cheese and later at Ambassador Steel.

She married Norman (John) Rosener on July 26, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2016. They resided in Woodburn until moving to DeKalb County in 1969. She was a choir member for many years and served as one of the organists for over 30 years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn. She was an Advanced Master Gardener, a volunteer at Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, a member of the Sewing Club, and a contributor of hundreds of cloth bears and mittens to RSVP. She spent hours working in her garden which included over 50 varieties of Daylilies. She enjoyed baking, knitting, cross-stitch, and sewed many beautiful quilts.

Survivors include:

Son; John Rosener of Huntertown.
Son and daughter-in-law; Dean and Patty Rosener of Pleasant Lake.
Daughter and son-in-law; Colleen and Jeffrey Hall of Fort Wayne.
Five grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Sister; Carol Sprunger of Berne, Indiana.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband; John and a sister; Josephine Rediger in 2008.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1801 North Main Street in Auburn.

Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Jonathan Nack of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
