GARRETT – Kenneth W. Clemons, 70, of Garrett, died Friday, June 9, 2017, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Clemons worked for the CSX Railroad for more than 30 years, retiring in 2007.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Garrett American Legion Post No. 178 and the Garrett Eagles.
He was born Nov. 14, 1946, in Beckley, West Virginia.
He married Mary Jane (Tropp) Jones in 2002, and she survives in Garrett.
Also surviving three children, Kenneth “KC” (Teddra) Clemons of Auburn, Christopher (Kim) Clemons of Fort Wayne and Bradley Clemons of Garrett; four step-children, Mike Jones of Rome City, Jeff Jones of Michigan, Gary Jones of Fort Wayne, and Rita Ternet of Garrett; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Thursday at Garrett American Legion Post No. 178, 515 W. 5th Ave., Garrett. Military honors will be conducted at 5 p.m. by the United States Army and Garrett American Legion Post No. 178.
