Kenneth L. Walters, 82, of Ruskin, Florida, and formerly of Auburn, passed away peacefully Monday, January 8, 2018, at his home in Ruskin, Florida, with his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Janet Walters, by his side.

He was born August 15, 1935, in Auburn to the late Melvin E. and Mildred I. (Fisher) Walters.

On December 31, 1974, Kenneth married Phyllis M. (Gunn) Turner, and she passed away December 17, 2007.

Kenneth worked as a department manager for Cooper Tire in Auburn for 31 years, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Ruskin, Florida, Loyal Order of the Moose in Ruskin, Florida, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Ruskin, Florida, American Legion Post 202 of Butler and Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Ruskin, Florida.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Janet Walters of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six siblings, Dorothy (Howard) Olry of Fort Wayne, David (Ruth Ann) Walters of Auburn, Maxine Teller of Flint, Ruth (Paul) Lyon of Texas, Judy (Clyde) Osbun of Auburn, and Nila (Skip) Zellers of Auburn; and his lifetime friend, Pat Jarrold of Sun City Center, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three stepsons, Douglas Gunn, Denny Gunn, and Dave Gunn; a stepdaughter, Suzette Psurny; two brothers, Bob (Janice) Walters and Donald (Wilma) Walters; and a brother-in-law, Bruce Teller.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with Pastor Grant Merrell officiating. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier, Ohio.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018, at the funeral home.
