Lilliana Louise “Lilly” Morrow, 16, of Waterloo died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Waterloo.
Lilly was born in Kendallville on October 6, 2001.
Lilly was in her sophomore year at DeKalb High School and was an honor roll student. She was active and took part in several extracurricular activities including tennis, soccer, cross country, show choir and was a member of the Student Leadership Team.
She was a hostess and waitress at Richards Restaurant in Auburn for the past year.
Lilly’s dream was to become a funeral director and had hopes of owning her own funeral home.
Surviving are her mother, Emily (Bryan Wendel) Morrow of Waterloo; father Magdaleno (Maria) Tavira of Fort Wayne; siblings Trevor Morrow of Waterloo, Oaklee Wendel of Waterloo, Dereck Gibson of Waterloo, Leticia Tavira of Texas, Chris Tavira of Kendallville, Matao Tavira of Fort Wayne, Diego Tavira of Fort Wayne, David Tavira of Fort Wayne and Sammy Hernandez of Fort Wayne; maternal grandparents Gus and Molly Morrow of Garrett; paternal grandmother Maria Gomez of Mexico; maternal great-grandparents Becky Wolff of Auburn and Verna Morrow of Butler; aunt September Slone of Kendallville; a great-aunt who holds a special place in Lilly’s heart, Amy (Paul) Pierce of Hudson; cousins Mercedes Aguilar of Garrett, Alondra Aguilar of Garrett and Sebastian Aguilar of Garrett; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and her greatest love and furbaby, Teddy Bear.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at County Line Church of God, 7716 N. County Line Rd., Auburn, with the Rev. Dr. Marcus Carlson of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Auburn officiating.
Private family burial will take place in Waterloo Cemetery.
Calling will be from 3–7 p.m. Saturday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.
