Lois I. (Scott) Zook

Lois I. Zook, age 88, of Auburn passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at The Cedars in Leo.

She was born on July 1, 1931 in Lagro, Wabash County, Indiana to Charles and Helen (Burnworth) Scott.  She graduated from Lagro High School in 1949.

She married Thomas L. Zook on December 30, 1950 in Elkhart.  He resides in Auburn.

As well as being a homemaker, Mrs. Zook worked in the Clerk’s Office and the Recorder’s Office at the DeKalb County Courthouse in Auburn retiring in 2008.  She also served as a RediMed caller for 8 years and she and Tom attended Lakewood Park Baptist Church in Auburn.  Lois loved school and she never stopped learning.  She enjoyed reading and playing her piano. 

Survivors Include:

Her husband; Thomas Zook of Auburn.

Daughter and son-in-law; Anne and Mike Shuherk of Auburn.

Daughter and son-in-law; Susan and David Morris of Fort Wayne.

8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Brother and sister-in-law; Lamoine and Sally Scott of North Manchester.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a great granddaughter and her sister; Ethel Mae Miller.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Auburn with Chaplain Kris McPherson officiating. 

Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
