Garrett – Lorraine C Henderson, 91 of Garrett died Monday, October 30.2017 at Miller’s Merry manor in Garrett. She was born July 17, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Floyd P and Margaret (Kruse) Carper, Sr. Lorraine was an Avon Representative for 27 years and was also a Homemaker. She was a member and active volunteer of the First Church of Christ in Garrett. She was a RSVP Volunteer and loved to Bowl, Bowling in Several Leagues over the years. Through Avon she was a member of the Presidents Club, Honors Society, Rose Circle and a Sales Award Winner. She also was an avid Garage Sale goer. She married Gearld C Henderson Sr. on November 25, 1944 in Waterloo and he died June 12, 1985. Surviving are 5 children, Ray L Henderson of Golden Lake, John Henderson of Garrett, Laura Strack of Garrett, Mary Ann (Terry) Fugate of Garrett and Rosemary (Mike) Leach of Garrett; 25 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Gearld “Bill” Henderson Jr, 2 daughters, Nancy Handshoe, Margaret Henderson, a sister Lucille Zuver, 2 brothers, John Carper and Floyd “Bud” Carper Jr and a daughter in law Elaina Henderson. Services will be 11 AM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the First Church of Christ in Garrett with Art Herrick officiating. Burial will follow in Waterloo Cemetery, Waterloo, IN. Calling is Friday from 2 to 7 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN and also 1 hour prior to the service Saturday from 10 to 11 at the church.
