AUBURN — Luella Aschleman, 99, of Auburn passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Garrett.
She was born Dec. 15, 1918, in Auburn to the late Elsworth and Merle (LaRowe) Brown.
Luella married Raymond Aschleman on Sept. 30, 1939, in Auburn, and he passed away Jan. 31, 2016.
Mrs. Aschleman worked in the cafeteria at DeKalb High School for several years.
She was a member of the Cedar Lake Church of the Brethren and was also a member of the Ladies Aide at the church.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Aschleman of Auburn; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Sue Aschleman of Auburn, and Timothy and Monica Aschleman of Auburn; a daughter-in-law, Virginia Aschleman; four grandchildren and their spouses, Vicki and Brad Babbitt, Brian and Dawn Aschleman, Denise Aschleman and Eric and Michelle Aschleman; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Babbitt, Emilie Aschleman, Jack Aschleman, Riley Aschleman and Reagan Aschleman; six step-grandchildren, Steve Hulbert, Tom Hulbert, Mike Hulbert, Christine Chanley, Aaron Brown and Casey Brown; several step-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law Norma and Robert Dickison of Garrett; sister-in-law Glenna Brown of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Robert Lee Aschleman and David Aschleman; five brothers, Howard Brown, Clyde Brown, Ed Brown, Clarence Brown and Richard Brown; and two sisters, Geraldine Clark and Sue Bock.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Duane Grady will be officiating. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Visitation will also be from 2–5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Lake Church of the Brethren, DeKalb County Humane Shelter, or the DeKalb County Horsemen’s Association.
