Margo (Roop) Housel

Waterloo – Margo Housel, 78 passed away Saturday May 18, 2019 at DeKalb Health in Auburn. She was born February 7, 1941 in St. Joe to William and Betty (Smith) Roop. Margo was a 1959 graduate of Auburn High School. She worked at Magnavox in Garrett for a number of years then worked at Trin in Ashley before retiring. She married Victor W Housel on June 26, 1976 in Auburn and he survives. Also surviving is a son, Brian S Ort of Waterloo; a granddaughter, Krysten Shumaker of Waterloo; a great grandson Hunter Thacker and a sister, Carrie Ann (Richard) Toy of Auburn. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Annette Shumaker. Services will be 11 am Wednesday May 22, 2019 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn. Calling is Tuesday from 2 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to National Breast Cancer Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
