Marjorie N. (Vian) Butler, age 93, of Waterloo went home to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. 

Mrs. Butler was born in Fort Wayne to Oscar and Beatrice (Picou) Vian on February 26, 1924.  She was a 1942 graduate of Ashley High School. 

She married John Clyde Butler on June 4, 1949 in Auburn.  He preceded her in death on October 25, 2000. 

Mrs. Butler worked at Lincoln National Bank in Fort Wayne from 1942 until 1950.  She worked as a secretary at the Auburn Foundry from 1957 until 1960.  She then worked in the school cafeterias at Fairfield Elementary School, Ashley Elementary School and Country Meadows Elementary School where she was the cafeteria manager.  She retired in 1998.

She was an active member of the Cedar Lake Church of Christ in Waterloo.  Marjorie loved baking wonderful pies and she enjoyed taking care of her neighbors, friends and her family.  She always put others first.

Survivors include: 

Son and daughter-in-law; Paul and Marilyn Butler of Atlanta, Georgia.

Daughter; Christine Waddell of Fort Wayne.

Daughter and son-in-law; Lisa and Rick Woebbeking of Auburn.

Daughter and son-in-law; Erin and Jim Magnuson of Kendallville.

10 grandchildren and their spouses; Jason and Marnie Barnhart, John and Cheryle Waddell, Janice and Nicholas Sutton, Katie Woebbeking, Camille and Michael Moore, Kirsten and Goeff Kolar, Jason and Jade Magnuson, Noelle and Joshua Butler, Stuart Magnuson and Eric and Anastasiia Turner.

17 great grandchildren.

Brother and sister-in-law; Benjamin Riley and Shari Vian of Fort Wayne.

Sister; Letitia Clark of Fort Wayne.

Sister and brother-in-law; Naomi and Bill Brand of Fort Wayne.

Many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; John, great grandson; Lucas Waddell, son-in-law; John Waddell and 2 sisters; Vergie Hartman and Evangeline Teat.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.  Visitation will also be held on Monday one hour prior to the funeral at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Lake Church of Christ, 1492 CR 27 in Waterloo.

Officiating the funeral service will be Jonathan Pennington of the Cedar Lake Church of Christ.

Burial will take place at the Fairfield Cemetery in Corunna.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Lake Church of Christ.
